Huy + Graham’s intimate shindig was a perfect reflection of their classic style, charismatic personalities and impeccable taste.
These downtown Toronto dwellers chose the Queen West Burroughes Building as their venue of choice, providing the perfect backdrop for the 20’s inspired Art Deco wedding with its exposed brick and historic charm. Thoughtful touches of black, ivory and gold, tables lined with phalaenopsis orchids plus lots and lots of candlelight set the tone for this romantic affair. Every detail, from the bride’s showstopping Jenny Packham gown and handmade vintage jewelled bouquet to the stationery, sparkling chandelier and colour coordinated dinnerware was an homage to the Art Deco theme and the result was picture perfect.
While the couple wanted a wedding that pulled elements from the glamourous aspects of the era, they also didn’t want the celebration to feel stuffy, so a lot of fun details were incorporated to give the day a non-traditional vibe. Floating glass bulbs filled with candles provided a unique backdrop while the couple exchanged nuptials in front of their loved ones. Ribbon-tied flatware lined the beautifully adorned table tops and instead of a traditional wedding cake, the couple opted for a decadent tower of Croquembouche. Guests were also treated to a delicious raw bar during cocktails as well as a gourmet coffee station where they could drink to their heart’s content!
What a beauty of a day. Thanks to the dynamic duo of A Brit and A Blonde – Jessica and Jason for these gorgeous captures!
